The Beauty of Islamic Art

There is a beautiful Quranic verse which is, and see around you, all things you will find no one of the portions therein. And we have created all things in order. In Sacred Art, how one can simply state is that it is how the divine wishes itself to be known. And it is the human participation in it. So it is not something that I have booked up for some years. It is going to put a sign on it. That is why in more Sacred Art, you do not have signatures because the individual doesn't matter. It is beyond the individual. You can find geometry in atomic structures. You can find it. The proportional systems in geometry underlie the palm growth. You can see the geometry operating in the movement of the planet. And because it is such a universal underlying phenomena, then by virtue of creating your shape of building in the same manner on the same lines, then you ought to emulate and create the order in your buildings. And you can find these proportional systems in Islamic Africa, Christianity, etc. And then underlie the blockings. And in their artworks and the proportional systems in their painting and artworks. Within the Quran we have a frontispiece. There is an opportunity in metric and is an indie pattern. Do you have that central star? And the other stars will be cropped. It's basically very very symbolic of the principle aspect of that or direction that worshiped traditionally has in the Islamic tradition, which is a vik, which literally translates as remembrance. These patterns are so symbolic of this cosmological aspect of this design of the divine design. And then the remembrance of it all is the repetition of it. It is like constantly remembering that all is one.
