We are continuing to receive some pictures of the spatial discovery as it slowly approaches the nearest base station. Discovery is now right around the 145 foot mark and is slowly closing that distance at a rate of 0.7 feet per second. The thing is continuing to go very smoothly. The exchange of information in between the Mission Control team here in Houston and the team in Glenn and grad Russia is going very smoothly at this point. These two teams are almost in a constant communications through the Russian Interface operator here in the Mission Control Center in Houston. The exchange of information and updating each team on the status of each other's vehicles. The rendezvous officer here in the flight control room has just reported that discoveries now about 135 feet away from the space station and is right on target for our operations today. One of the things that this rendezvous is doing for us is that it's verifying a number of flight techniques that will be used for the docking mission later this year. Even though this particular mission does not dock with mere our flight techniques and the ways of flying the shuttle that we are verifying and testing for the first time on orbit. In this particular view, the lower half of the picture is occupied by a Soyuz spacecraft, which is the way that Cosmonauts are transported to and from this space station, pointing directly towards the shuttle cameras is the crystal module. This is the module that will be used for the docking on the board.
