Okay, Mr. Griffin, nice to see you here. Thank you. Could you please give us just a short background on yourself? On myself? Yes. Well, I'm basically a writer, a researcher. I've written a few books and television documentary programs. My specialty is nonfiction. I have written mostly things which are topics that I consider to be very important to people in general, not just things of special interest, but important in the field of politics or health. I'm interested in geology, for example, but I don't write often on that topic because maybe it's not as important as what's going on in the world today and what we can do to enhance our health and that sort of thing so primarily I've written things dealing with political and economic issues and health issues I'm not a specialist in any of these fields when I pick a topic I have a very steep curve of learning and I have to go through to understand them. What I try to do is take a topic which is, on the surface, appears to be complicated, try and dig down to figure out what it's all about, and then once I understand it myself, then I try and explain it to people in a more general way, in a simple way, and that's what I try to do. in. So I've written a book about this. I've written a book about this. I've written a book about this. So I've written a book about this. So I've written a book about this. So I've written a book about this. I've written things on the United Nations I've written a few biographies I've written I've written a book on the Federal Reserve System which is our banking system in the United States and of course I've written a book on laitro which is a a non-toxic control for cancer that's found in nature. So that's what I do. Your book, World Without Cancer, has recently been translated into Norwegian, and in Norwegian it's called En värden uten kreft. What made you write a book about a metabolic compound and its use in metabolic cancer therapy? I wrote this book as a result of my friendship with Dr. John Richardson, who was a practicing physician in the San Francisco area. Dr. Richardson began to use this substance called Laetrile in the treatment of his patients, and he was having a great deal of success with it and as a result of this success people started to come to him from all over the United States and in fact all over the world and he began to attract a little bit of attention and at this point the medical authorities in the San Francisco area and in California in general approached him and said look you cannot use this substance you must stop using it because it's not approved by the fda and of course he was very outraged at that because he was having a much better success with this substance than anything he had ever used in his practice he was having a success rate that was many times greater than the other doctors who were now telling him that he had to stop using this material so he was outraged at that and um because of my friendship he and i were talking about it and he said ed said i'm the doctor i treat the patients you're the writer and what i need is help from you to tell this story in a fashion that people can understand maybe for a magazine article so we can publish it in some magazine people can read about it and then we can go on about our business of saving lives and get these bureaucrats off my back so i said sure john i'll give it a try and that was when i became first involved with the substance i didn't know anything at all about about it. To tell you the truth, it was kind of funny because I thought, well, this sounds like a fun project. It's an important project. So I'll spend maybe two or three months on it, and we'll get it all together. We'll produce a little documentary film, and we'll just do the job and then move on to something else. I had no uh the high voltage that was in the wire that i was about to grab hold of very high voltage because i found that there were two stories involved one story was the science of cancer therapy which is a relatively simple story but where the high voltage was was in the politics of cancer that the other story. And I discovered, much to my dismay, that even though everyone in the medical field was certainly interested in finding a cure for cancer, I discovered that they weren't interested in finding a cure for cancer unless it was profitable. And that was appalling to me me and at first I couldn't believe it and of course the deeper I dug into the story the more I realized that the cancer industry is really based on on cash flow and there are a lot of people in this industry probably more people making a living from cancer today and and who are dying from it and you can imagine the impact on this this very high economic industry this high monetary value industry imagine the impact on it if today we had a cure for cancer that didn't cost anything it was free it came from nature can you imagine what What these people do what would the american cancer society do every year it raises tens of millions if not hundreds of millions of dollars looking for a cure for cancer if all of a sudden they found the cure for cancer they'd be out of work so you see what the dilemma is here and i had never thought about these these cross currents before so that's how I got interested in the story and that's what I discovered and it didn't take two or three months it took a couple of years ready to get to the bottom of that and finally that's why I wrote the book of course people can read the details in your book but could you in short in short, or at least try to tell, in short, how vitamin B-17 works, amygdala? Yes, I think it can be summarized in a couple of different ways. Vitamin B-17 or amygdala, let's start with what is amygdala. The substance that we're talking about has three different names, amygd vitamin b17 or laetrile they're all pretty much the same substance the native substance as it's found in in nature is called amygdalin and you can find that in all the chemistry books it's been around and known for a long long time when that substance is purified and concentrated so that it can be used in the treatment of cancer then they call it laetrile dr. Krebs Ernst T Krebs jr. who was the man who first isolated this compound and purified it for the use in cancer he called it it vitamin B-17. Now, it's not officially that name. You can't find that in any of the official encyclopedia. But he said that the properties of this substance were very similar to the properties of other B vitamins. He said that it's essential for health. And since there were already 16 of them identified, he felt this should be number 17. So that's why they call it vitamin B17. But the substance itself is called amygdalin, and the way it works is very simple. And this, by the way, is not theory. This has all been proven in the laboratory. The molecule of amygdalin is made up of four components there are two parts of glucose or sugar there's one part of benzaldehyde and one part of cyanide now the word cyanide frightens a lot of people because they know it's a toxic substance and they think well how can we take cyanide and and live they're afraid of it and especially when they read articles that come from the presses oh don't eat laterala don't take laterala don't eat those apricot seeds that contain this substance because it's got cyanide in it they're easy prey for the trick because there's a trick here cyanide is toxic in its pure form that means it's gaseous form you can kill people with it but when the cyanide is locked up in a molecule with other compounds other components it may or may not be toxic and in most cases it is not toxic for example in the case of vitamin b12
