Good morning folks. The day begins with the 7.7 earthquake in Alaska near British Columbia Canada. This will start a theme today of overall increased activity. Had four separate readings of 7.7 so it's a solid confidence on that value. No critical infrastructure near the epicenter and two boys have been set into event mode near the quake. Neither shows a deviation of more than a foot or so, however with the tsunami impact on land measured at less than one foot. Moving on. This will be tough to see. But a sun dive in combat is visible amidst the choppy frames on the lasco C3. I thought we'd get a chance to see it hit the sun but I was wrong. It did dive before hitting the surface. The sun is juiced up after that close approach. However, and has already begun firing coronal mass ejections. This one is just barely going to miss Earth. Cosmic ray density is holding steady. Still a little bit high. The flares slowly continue to rise up and up and we actually just had an em flare from high up in the corona from a spot actually behind the limb still. Sun spot number well over a hundred now but with only two spots of primary concern first. This one downcresting the limb is a beast. She's actually where our flare increase was coming from before the em flare. Possibly candidate number two for 2013 Earth facing quiet. The other sun spot event is up top beta gamma delta born facing the earth so it's quiet doesn't make it a candidate until it leaves and then starts to flare. Candidate number one already set on the northeastern limb turning to face earth was popping off big time before cresting the limb but has decayed and slumbered it's 1164-4 and 1164-6 combined. They're officially the first evidence of earth facing quiet this year and that coloration that cresting spot just on the edge is where that em flare came from. Planets began lining up two days ago, sundiving comet, coronal holes, flares, earthquakes and cosmic rays. Eyes open no fear it's 6 o'clock a.m. Eastern time and that's the news. Be safe everyone.
