Editorial Ls night, the Australian government handed down its budget for the next year. What intrigues me is how our government is dancing in step with the other "major" western governments, in that we are also going to borrow massive amounts of money to spend on infrastructure (i.e., roads, ports, schools, etc.). As I watched the predictable interviews with finance ministers from countries like our own, | couldn't help but notice the elephant in the room: that elected governments are not in control of issuing either credit or currency. The fact that the general public has swallowed this deception without massive outcry means that we are now well on the way to the creation of a global currency. The article in this issue outlines the current steps being employed in this historic transition from many currencies to regional currencies to one currency via Special Drawing Rights. In my last editorial, | shared my belief that those in charge of the banking system are but servants to others. This prompted several letters and phone calls from readers curious as to whom | was alluding to, asking: who are these "others" higher up some chain of command? Well, the best answer | can come up with is the same one given to Alec Newald by his alien abductors, as outlined in his (true) book CoEvolution. | have selected the extract in question and, although we have published this before, | feel it's worthy of repeating for the many readers who would not have seen it. On the health front, we have two important articles for your digestion. First up is an eye-opener on the topic of blood transfusions and the attendant health risks. Of particular interest is the spread of blood-borne micro-organisms which escape both detection and filtering processes. Our other article is an update on the groundbreaking work by Jim Humble on his Miracle Mineral Supplement, or MMS. This article by Walter Last discusses recent understandings of how and when to take MMS, how to combine it with other therapies and what effects to expect. Whilst it is clear hat MMS can have remarkable curative effects when it comes to malaria, cancer and AIDS, it is not clear to the casual user just what the side effects are that they experience. One person's detox symptoms are another person's defined illness. Another topic that has me excited is about the archaeological finds in Turkey, especially Gébekli Tepe. I first read of this amazing site in the in- light magazine on a plane trip from Istanbul to Cairo in the late 1990s, so 'm delighted to see more information gradually emerging. | think it is time or a NEXUS trip to Turkey. Any takers? A few years ago, we published a couple of articles about mysteries of the Solomon Islands. The author, Marius Boirayon, indicated at the time that he wished to write a book detailing even more information. Well, years later, he book is out. It has a limited print run and is pretty much only available trom NEXUS at present. I have re-run the extract on the giant hominoids to remind readers. There's a lot more | could add about these mysteries, but suffice it to say that I stand by what we have published—100 per cent! This is also the issue of NEXUS where we promote our annual conference. Well, this year we are not having one. There's no particular reason; it's just he way it worked out with regard to a bunch of logistics. At this stage, we are planning to hold our conference in March 2010 on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. Stay tuned!
