With the advent of high-tech communica- tion systems comes some rather convincing evidence for the continuation of life after death. The Luxembourg-based paranormal research group, CETL, has been receiving video messages from 'the other side’ since 1986 and, more recently, cross-dimensional communications—pictures and text—via computer hard drives and printouts. — JUNE-JULY 1996 According to authors Dr Pat Kubis and Mark Macy, CETL researchers are in touch with a third or mid-astral plane group called Timestream, made up of scientists who have passed on but who still desire to continue their life's work from other dimen- sions—scientists like Tesla, Edison, Einstein, Curie, the 16th century physician Paracelsus, and lesser-known researchers who were working in the field of electronic voice production (EVP) before their deaths. They claim their efforts are assisted by beings on planes higher than the mid-astral. Conversations Beyond the Light is a fasci- nating analysis of some of the communica- tions that have been transmitted and received. The evidence would seem to con- stitute valid proof of the existence of an afterlife and, indeed, a vast variety of choices available to the individual depend- ing on soul purpose and desires. We find out what life is like in other dimensional locales, what it’s like to speak with departed loved ones, and are given sound spiritual advice on reincarnation and abortion, heav- en and hell, the Akashic records and even how to conduct your own EVP and ITC research. This is a comprehensive reference guide to almost the entire range of alternative medicinal treatments available today. The resource includes contributions from around 350 alternative medicine practition- ers and consultants, and is a great source- book for professionals and laypersons alike. This hefty, 1,068-page book opens with an overview of the future of medicine, pointing out that the general public is turn- ing to alternative medicine in a big way and is seeing that conventional medicine no longer adequately meets all their health needs. The crisis in modern medicine is further highlighted with discussion of med- ical freedom and the politics of health care, focussing on the tainted role of the FDA and the harassment and persecution of a number of luminaries in the alternative field. The guidebook then details alternative therapies from acupuncture to yoga, each generous entry accompanied by recom- mended reading pointers and listings of where to go to find help or how to help yourself at minimal cost where possible. Most of these listings, however, are geared towards American readers, but with a little fact-finding, any interested persons are still given enough information to find appropri- ate contacts in their regions. Another extensive section covers specific health conditions for which a number of alternative treatments are suggested, refer- ring the reader to the section heading for that treatment. Well worth the investment. ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE The Definitive Guide compiled by Burton Goldberg Group Published by Future Medicine Publishing, Inc.
