With the video now available, I was keen to see it again from a 1990s perspective. The verdict? V is still a gripping drama, full of pathos and hope, struggle and victory against overwhelming odds. It is a morality play as well as an allegorical tale. V came uncomfortably close to some secret truths back then, but it seems closer to the truth and even more relevant now in the light of revelations about various UFO scenarios in recent years.
