And this, of course, is a violation of the virtual conflict model. Apparently, to resolve this rebellion with a minimum of damage to the Heavens, the Earth was created as a sort of virtual reality mechanism to act out the effects of the proposed rebellion on the real Heavens, thereby avoiding unnecessary damage to the exist- ing order of things out (or up) there in the real world.
