At that time 67% of those replying opposed the principle of allowing the Government to direct fluoridation, and 65% opposed the proposal to require the Department Secretary’s approval before discontinuation,” So here in the Parliament was proof that the “will of the people” and the will of the Councils opposed the Government’s new Act, but of no avail for democracy and the new Bill was passed, 35 votes for and 2 against. Democracy was laid to rest and totalitarian compulsion became the order of the day for NSW people. Immediately after the Bill passed through Parliament, letters by concerned and dissatisfied people were sent to Premier Greiner and the Health Minister. To date not one reply has been received from Greiner or Collins, the architects of the Fluoridation Bill and _ the “expert” fluoride leaders in the Parliament.
