Suddenly, they both heard an odd beeping noise and started to feel strange. The next thing they knew, two hours had passed and they were approach- ing their hometown. Something had happened, but neither could re- member what. Over the next few weeks, Betty began to have dreams that she had been taken onboard and examined. Meanwhile, Barney began suffer- ing health problems, including a rash, an ulcer, and anxiety attacks. Finally, they sought the help of a doctor who recommended hypnosis. Under hypnosis, the couple recalled seeing the UFO, hearing the beeping noise, and then coming upon a “road block.” The craft had landed in the center of the road. Their car was surrounded by short figures with large, hairless heads and dark, almond-shaped eyes. They were both taken onboard and separated into different examination rooms. They were told to have no fear, that the E:T.s meant no harm, and that they would be returned shortly. Both were then undressed and given a full medical examination. The E-T:s took skin scrapings, saliva samples, blood samples, locks of hair, and nail clippings. They seemed particularly fascinated by Barney’s false teeth, and couldn’t understand why Betty’s teeth couldn’t also be removed. After the examination, Betty was shown a book with various strange symbols. She asked where they came from, and she was shown a holographic star map. Afterwards, Betty and Barney were returned to their car and told they wouldn’t remember anything. Although they didn’t recall the incident at first, there were several clues that something strange had happened. Not only was there missing time, but their dog Delsie was scared and cowering in the back seat. Betty’s dress had a strange stain on it. And the car hood had several weird, polished spots on it. When they held up a compass to the spots, the needle would spin. UFOS AND ALIENS also saw the row of windows, and saw that, inside, there were several
