The well-informed telephone callers as well as the authors of the papers called themselves "extraterrestrials" and said that they came from a planet they called UMMO, which in turn orbits a star they called TUMMA (provisionally identified by them as that we identify as Wolf 424 in our astronomy catalogues, and situated some 14 light years from Earth).
