emotion, without the mediation of dictionaries, without the mediation of words that describe other words. That is, however, the path we have chosen: describing increasingly unreal things taken out of their context of spatio-temporal oneness. So-called objectivity! If reality cannot be described it is not because we lack the words, but because we can do without them! Scientists know — that is why they are a priori scientists — that the test of experience is the source of discoveries. Indeed, nothing exists outside the experience! Being a pragmatist does not mean being a materialist, but being able to exper- iment...and create the means to do so. A mystic is the greatest pragma- tist of all. Nothing else matters to him than the personal experience of transcendental knowledge. If he is enlightened he will know! He has had experiences others do not know anything about. They discuss them, but he remains quiet. Except perhaps about how and under which conditions he got there in order to share with realistic and active souls the fruits of his personal experiences. He knows they will dis- cover other aspects of reality, because each person has a specific role to 1 ad aod play and lessons to learn. In this sense, equations are like the words and syntax of sentences. They come close to reality, but they never quite grasp it. So do not search for the truth in contemporary formalist science. By definition, it cannot possibly give it to you. Do you doubt that? Scientists say so themselves. We will verify that. Moreover, if there are so many ways to describe reality, even in mathematics, it is because a description always omits the information contributed by the experience. Supported by this new understanding of how to access and under- stand the truth, we can dismiss everything around us and subse- quently re-establish contact, including with feelings like brotherhood or love. Human psychism in its present state is a kind of shapeless and misrepresented mash. It explains why our dreams are utterly disorgan- ized, fickle and without interest. Guess how we see them? As unreal! In a way that is true. They do not have any power or harmonious struc- ture, or intention to be controlled. It is essentially what separates us from the technological and mental level of ETs. It is our Achilles’ heel that may be exploited by ill-intentioned ETs. It is also the path of apprenticeship benevolent ETs would like us to take. Without intention or focused intent there is nothing. Most of our mental experiences, such as our dreams, are rich in the stimuli of life that are the core of our badly expressed desires or our deepest fears. Thus, we endure our own and other people’s thought forms. We lack the mental 60 The Science of Extraterrestrials: UFOs Explained at Last * Eric Julien
