administrative task for the coordinators of the oddity. How often did this happen? Where was it even taking place? The coat of arms was taken away from me immediately after loading it with the cylinders. There didn’t seem to have been any order in which to do this as the holes were identical. I was then asked to turn round and face another part of the room where one of the beings stood in front of me. He/she asked me to go down on one knee as if to receive a knighthood. I can’t ever remember misunderstanding an instruction; each one seemed unusually clear. Telepathy was used throughout. Not only did the capacity for questioning seem absent but messages were received as if transmitted directly. Robotically I had gone down on one knee facing the direction I had been asked, awaiting the next instruction. Without rehearsal I went through the perfect motions of a ceremony and the being stood over me as if to offer a simulated knighthood. Whatever way I had been programmed, I reserved the capacity to observe. Looking past the waist level of the entity’s monk-like gown I could see other people queuing along the facing wall just like I had done earlier. Each still possessed that look of vacant trance and I couldn’t see that actress anywhere by now. The being was saying something to me, not necessarily instruction but more like a kind of chant which I strangely remember getting the gist of. The final part of this ceremony involved the being bringing down what seemed to be a square object upon my head. From somewhere he had acquired a metallic shape that resembled a windowpane and this was supposed to be lowered down over me starting from the crown of my head. The action itself wasn’t unlike the way security staff at my company occasionally run metal detectors over staff leaving the building in the event of theft only this was different. Here I could actually feel the magnetism of the object. As the shape was lowered over my head I remember feeling the weighty underwater pressure around my temples following a sudden blue crack of light the colour of a camera flash. That sudden light was hauntingly familiar and I was starting to realise why. Camera flashes have often proved to have an adverse effect on me when having my picture taken. They conjure up memories of odd sensations, flashes from strange stick-like devices--magic wands that leave your eyes burning. If only I could remember what that light signified. I knew it overwhelmed your eyes leaving you fazed and it either made you remember things or forget. Camera flashes and magicians with wands rang so many loud bells, yet I don’t remember a thing about this magical square. 70
