that might have gleaned answers. A mysterious park full of peaceful looking lakes where I could converse with the most tranquil creatures, could this have been one of those out-of-body experiences where I found myself in a type of Biblical Eden on the other side? Maybe that was where all my answers lay, the ones I flippantly asked for the previous night. I must admit that if it was the result that I had been looking for then I found the whole outcome very disconcerting. I could have practiced the whole sleep on it technique every other night and gleaned answers that nobody would dream of but to be honest I was too nervous. We are always warned to be careful what we wish for and I found the whole simplicity behind that accident quite jisturbing. I might not want to look to deep into the esoteric in fear of what I might find and, needless to say, I didn’t practice that trick anymore to this lay. However, it wasn’t the last I would remember about that strange garden, something I will explain later. It wasn’t the first time that an explosion of new memories had thrown everything into disarray and I don’t suppose it will be the last. From experience I have found it is best to file away these memories as unsolved until another day because you get nowhere turning your mind inside out trying to understand. The memories were interesting and immensely significant but I had a life to lead. There were physiological differences left in me as well as mental ones ever since the beings had departed. I seemed to be carrying around this excess electricity that felt particularly vibrant at times and so often I would experience an unusual static from objects and a strong effect on electrical devices. While in Italy I shared an apartment with other foreign guests who were becoming very aware of my effects on the apartment’s TV. It got to the point where I avoided getting up to leave the room as the television’s electrical currents seemed to follow me. I noticed that times when I wasn’t expecting it, the picture would move in any direction I moved as if a magnet were being waved across the screen. Yet on other occasions whilst on my own when I deliberately tried to cause the effect nothing would happen. I tried waving my hands all over the set and even concentrating but I never could repeat the occurrence. This would happen unexpectedly with the radio, light bulbs and even physical movement of pieces of paper. Whatever static the average person was said to generate, I seemed to quadruple and spread when I least wanted to. It is a good thing that people these days generally seem light-hearted about unusual tendencies and won’t necessarily want to burn you at the stake for possessing witchcraft. During my language course, there were many 126
