confused upon arrival. These days I no longer question the source of my knowledge now that I am aware of my short term spent at the “night school.” The knowledge I normally have of the world reminds me how the living can also be plunged into different planes of consciousness where time is absent such as in meditation or some drug induced states. Personally I have experienced neither but the suspicion I have of these states being the preserve of the departed is an impression firmly seeded into me at an early age. I seemed to have had ideas about the dead and ethereality quite early on, most probably from that school but the way I believe I was taught these things came from demonstration. I had been allowed to experience dual vision and simultaneous time from the experiencer’s point of view by becoming them for a short while. There is no better teacher than experience and in my case it had conveyed things that words couldn’t. This futuristic educating technique had given me ideas about the world, some that proved to cause hardship at times and others that became the bases for some intriguing theories. Ihave learned that death isn’t the final veil but the first platform for a series of transitions. The first of these transitions are what so many experience uring out of body/near death experiences. Many people claim to have left their physical bodies only to inhabit another, exactly the same, but astral. This body has a duplicate of all the physical features of the first--arms, legs etc but can perform the most outstanding feats such as flying or walking through walls. I remember being in this state a number of times and remember feeling humanoid in shape but I am convinced this isn’t the final form. It is an in-between state that allows the soul to explore and we often hear of secret personnel adopting this form for psychic espionage when carrying out “astral projection.” Perhaps this form is used for helping the leceased to acclimatise to the spirit world after dying because I am sure that, like something reptilian, this form sheds its skin to transform to yet another which isn’t humanoid. Not all near death experiences (NDEs) report being physically the same when passing over, some have been reported to be spherical in shape while others insist they were just an energy field. This in-between state that borrows most of the body’s characteristics is as far as I have ventured into the other side although I could be wrong. The multi-visioned and omnipotent experiences I recall during those scenarios were very much like being a dwelling “entity” of some kind and I don’t remember leaving my body. Sometimes it might even be a transition where the actual body becomes astral because even during the strange nightly jaunts of my childhood, I don’t remember actually leaving a body. That 106
