view of past, present and future. I could describe this as a multi-viewed, multi-experienced and multi-timed overlord’s perspective that understood the scene like no other. You can immediately compare this state as being a god-like entity with an omni-consciousness and this brings me to the comparison of the spirit. I think that when we die, we transform over to omnipotence and have the ability to dwell in a number of places rather than just physically exist in one. This is perhaps what is happening when we experience the haunting of a place where the spirit doesn’t seem to acknowledge that it is dead and exists only in a time warp of the way it previously lived. There are often cases where a spirit seems unable to conceive the time passed since dying and behaves in a strange multi-conscious way, existing in inanimate objects (often walls) with the tendency to replay events from the past. Historical armies have been seen re-enacting famous battles from the past without an inkling that they were slain hundreds of years beforehand. Even apparitions of inanimate objects such as their guns and artillery are seen, which suggests the possibility of a replayed time warp rather than conscious spirits of the dead. The point I want to raise here about omnipotence is that of “dwelling” and the ability to exist at a number of levels or even in different times. It’s possible that our consciousness radically changes when passing over to the other side where we achieve our dwelling or god-like status and can see the overlord’s picture of life and the universe. When you try to think of the afterlife in an earthly sense using our physical laws and consider it spent for eternity in a realm with everyone who has ever died and endless more that will, then paradise must in itself seem purgatory! Consciousness would have to transform tremendously for the afterlife to be imaginable. There is evidence for this transformation because the messages that are supposed to be heard from deceased entities during séances often sound as though they come from another consciousness. So many of the supposed dead have been known to relay messages that seem incompatible with those contacting them and other spirits who are preoccupied with things that wouldn’t normally be of interest to the dead. I remember reading of incidents where entities have expressed odd things like a sexual interest in those summoning them or an interest in things of importance during their lives. A communication problem is experienced during these sessions and perhaps that points to a shift in consciousness. Instead of achieving an earth- like conscious interaction with an entity, the person on this side will be baffled by the irrelevance or banality of the liaison almost as if they were 104
