In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding. Proverbs 10: 13. ‘The Church was sinful in making human beings feel guilty and making them pray without seeking to understand: But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Matthew 6: 7. And despite the warning in the Gospels, the Church has also made itself too wealthy, while it was written: Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth... No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve Yahweh and mammon. Matthew 6: 19-24. Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves.
