Chapter Thirteen We now come to the subject of so-called “Ascension”, which is claimed by so many “contactees” and “abductees” to be the desired result of contact with so-called Extraterrestrials. The subject of Ascension seems to be the number one topic of the New Age and Human Potential movement. If, as we suspect, the New Age and Human Potential movement is the product of COINTELPRO that means that the correct understanding of, and process of, Ascension is the main thing they wish to disrupt and destroy. Does that mean that such a potential does not exist at all? No. The concepts of Ascension have been with us a long time, as we will examine further on. What is different in the present day promotions is the process that is being promoted is either entirely false, or at least, seriously twisted so as to lead the seeker far from the path.
