The season ended with a formation in Cambridgeshire, which was recognized as a representation of the Mandelbrot Set, an image generated in the realm of fractal geometry and named after its discoverer, Benoit Mandelbrot, the Belgian mathematician. Its construction was particularly fine, including lines of single-standing stalks and minute circles.
