Thus he would have been in the right place to take a major part in the analysis of saucer wreckage and bodies. These and other groups (such as the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board and the Rand Corporation) were not concerned with day-to-day defense ac- tivities, but rather with long-term scientific work.
