Jacob, Churchill’s military secretary, is informed by Major Desmond Morton Church, Churchill’s liaison with the British Secret Service, that “another most secret fact is that to all intents and purposes, U.S. Security is being run for them at the Presidents request by the British. A British officer sits with Mr. Hoover and Bill Donovan for this purpose. It is of course essential that this fact should not be known.” 1941 J.
