Christian theologians, is in complete disagreement and mutually exclusive to the Easternworld-view of an eternal pantheistic universe. Apparently the ETs that spoke to Rael either failed their courses in physics and religion, or they have another agenda. As we saw in chapter five, one of the more common sources of information from extraterrestrials comes through channelers. Channeling is a process whereby an individual (the channel) allows him or herself to be entered or spoken through by a spiritual entity. This process, which has been used by mediums to contact spiritual entities for thousands of years, is a common occult method. Many modern "channelers" claim that they have acted as channels for numerous highly evolved "extraterrestrial entities" who have the capability to reach them and convey their thoughts by telepathic means. While the reliability of such information is dubious at best, it is surprising how consistent the messages are from the alleged extraterrestrials as given through channelers 1 4 and mediums. New Age literature is replete with messages from extraterrestrials who claimed that they are our creators. Depending on the source read, there are at least half a dozen races of alleged extraterrestrials vying for the title of "god." Candidates include the Pleiadians, the Grays, the Reptilians (half human, half reptile-like entities), the Insectoids (insect-like ETs!), the Venusians (from Venus), and others. In her book The Extraterrestrial Vision, New Age author Jeana Lake presents the teachings of Theodore, an extraterrestrial entity which she channels on a regular basis. At the beginning of the book, Theodore discusses the origin of mankind: "Human beings did not evolve naturally on Earth, they evolved from genetic engineering of ape-like primates by beings visiting your Earth millions of years ago. These extraterrestrials were the first intelligent species to discover the Earth besides one former colony of extraterrestrials that had landed here and left when your extraterrestrial forefathers/mothers arrived. That extraterrestrials altered the DNA of certain primates on Earth to create the human species is undoubtedly shocking. And yet, your scientists are beginning to play with the same technology—tike father, like son." This notion that human life was produced by genetically engineering the DNA of a primate ancestor is found extensively in the literature of the New Age movement as well as in the writings of Zecharia Sitchin. According to New Age author Barbara Marciniak, who channels alleged Pleiadian entities, the creators of mankind were an ancient race of reptilian extraterrestrials: "Where have you come from? Who are your creator parents? Who conceived of you, then made you?
