In a UFO research document commissioned by the U.S. Government, author Lynn Catoe notes the remarkable linkage between UFOs and occultic and demonic phenomenon: "A large part of the available UFO literature is closely linked with mysticism and the metaphysical. It deals with subjects like mental telepathy, automatic writing and invisible entities as well as phenomena like poltergeist manifestation and ‘possession.' Many of the UFO reports now being published in the popular press recount alleged incidents that are strikingly similar to demonic possession and psychic phenomena."*”? Finally, on February 28, 1997, an incredible claim regarding the nature of UFOs and their messages to mankind was made by Lord Hill-Norton, the former head of the British Armed Forces. He was admiral of the British Fleet and chief of Defense Staff from 1971-73. In an article in the prestigious British newspaper The London Times, Lord Hill- Norton indicated that he believed that UFOs were of Satanic origin and "definitely antithetical to orthodox Christian belief." He has helped to form an international group, UFO Concern, to bring awareness of the Satanic origin of UFOs and their associated alien entities. Also quoted in the article was the Reverend Paul Inglesby, who is secretary of UFO Concern. He said that the truth about UFOs has been suppressed for many years and that the messages coming from alien entities are "anti-Christian, or demonic." Surprisingly, Gordon Creighton, editor of the British periodical Flying Saucer Review agreed with Lord Hill-Norton stating, "I do believe that the great bulk of these phenomena are what is called Satanic. °° As we read in chapter 5, Harvard University professor John Mack, M.D., and other researchers believe that one of the primary purposes for the alleged alien abductions is the production of hybrid (half-alien, half-human) offspring. While the current evidence for this breeding program is anecdotal at best, as we stated previously, there are indeed historical precedents in the book of Genesis that shed light on the issue. In chapter ten we read that during the days of Noah the "sons of God" took human women (the daughters of men) as their wives. According to the story related in Genesis 6:2, "... the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose." In the text there is a subtle sense that the women were chosen ("of all which they chose") against their will. The result of these ungodly unions was a race of very wicked and very powerful hybrid (half-fallen angel, half-human) offspring—the Nephilim—who corrupted, harassed, even killed mankind. Now, at the end of the 20th century, we have the return of "alien" entities with apparent supernatural 152 Ankerberg and Weldon drove the point home with these statements: communications in the same manner that demons do with their human and other forms of THE SONS OF GOD RETURN!
