The UFO phenomenon is perceived as a threat by many because acceptance of the phenomenon and its interdimensional nature seems incompatible with prevailing scientific and religious paradigms. To the scientific "naturalist," the acceptance of interdimensional beings requires the introduction of alternate dimensional realities beyond the four dimensions of space and time that we currently appreciate. To many "naturalists" this thought is anathema because it introduces the very real possibility of angels, demons, and God forbid, GOD! Astronomer Carl Sagan, the modern-day champion of the naturalistic world-view, eloquently expressed the prevailing scientific paradigm in his book Cosmos when he stated, "The Cosmos is all that is, or ever was, or ever will be." The UFO phenomenon breaks through this barrier of a closed universe, one in which nothing gets in and nothing can escape. According to Dr. John Mack, many abductees sense that their alien captors traverse and perform their experiments outside our space-time 4 domain. "Quite a few abductees have spoken to me of their sense that at least some of their experiences are not occurring within the physical space-time dimensions of the universe as we comprehend it. They speak of aliens breaking through from another dimension, through a ‘slit' or ‘crack' in some sort of barrier, entering our world from ‘beyond the veil.' Abductees, some of whom have little education to prepare them to explain about such abstractions or odd dislocations, will speak of the collapse of space-time that occurs during their experiences. They experience the aliens, indeed their abductions themselves, as happening in another reality, although one that is as powerfully actual to them as—or more so than—the familiar physical world." At the same time, the UFO phenomenon is perceived as a threat by many who hold to the Judeo-Christian world-view—not because it introduces the notion of extradimensional realities, but because the Bible makes no mention of extraterrestrial (non-supernatural) life in the universe. In addition, the Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is our "kinsman 1 word a . 1 o ewio4 + Noa a redeemer." Unless these aliens are our kinsmen (i.e., fully human beings), then the substitutionary, sacrificial, atoning death of Jesus Christ on the cross is not (as far as we know) efficacious in blotting out the sin of aliens. Some New Age authors suggest that Jesus died many times on many different planets for the sins of God's alien "children." However, the Bible states that Jesus died once and rose only once from the dead. "|. . knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over him. For the death that he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life that he lives, he lives to God" (Romans 6:9-10). We believe that it is possible to determine the origin and agenda of these alien entities in a manner that considers their interdimensional character, their message, and the nature of ao ead ted In the last several decades a number of experienced UFO researchers have drawn parallels between the nature of angels, demons, and the UFO occupants. Indeed, some— 141 variously described as demonic, angelic, or simply alien." their contact with mankind. ALIENS, ANGELS, AND DEMONS
