The widely reproduced Los Angeles Times photograph from the early hours of 25 February 1942: several searchlight beams converge on a point in the night sky above the dark Los Angeles skyline while anti-aircraft shells burst around it. The incident, known as the Battle of Los Angeles, is a staple of UFO disclosure literature and is the header image for the UFO disclosure documents and patents page.
