Graduate, 3 years with Ush Iniversity of Illinois; High School
"I was standing in the quadrangle looking to the North East and ob-
served a bright orange object, which I thought was a star, moving East.
My sighting lasted about 5 minutes. The body was at a 40o angle and ap-
peared to be about  inch diamoter at arms length. This was around 2115
hours on the 25th of February."

"Von Ryans Express". observed a bright light, orange-white, pulsating
in intensity at about a 45o angle above the trees. It was traveling to
the North East and was visible for l0 minutes. The time was from 2i25 to
2l35 hours on the 25th of February."

ceeding to the Union. As I vas crossing the Quad, I casually looked up
and saw a bright orange light moving West to East. It was kinda low in
the sky and appeared to be blinking. After watching for a few minutes,
I decided to call the Police. said she saw this about l900
hours above the Illini Towers and that it was stationary."

I was standing in the Quad, looked up and saw an object.At first I
thought it was a star. It appeared to have red, greon and white lights.
I observed it for around 5 minutes. I'd guess its angle of elevation was
45 to 5o degrees. It appeared to be a great distance off. The sky was
clear. There was no definite shape. The lights appeared to be very close together."

Towers (Illini Towers is a building 16 stories high). We observed an
elongated yellow white light moving at a slow speed in a North East direc-
tion. It appeared thicker in the center with a red orange glow on the
bottom. It appeared to be dropping ashes or sparks. Then the light re-
turned to a steady glow and disappeared to the North East."

I received the first report of the UF0 at O930 hours on the 27th of.
February. I then called Mr Janes Lee since his report appeared to be the
most detailed,as a result, I contacted the following agencies:
a. University Police. Five persons submitted porsonal reports and
four telephoned reports in. All were essentially the same. Orange color,
very slow movement from West
. b. Chanute AFB Tower. No sighting or anything Chamute AFB Tower. No sighting or anything umusual. unusual.
c. c. Chicago ARTc. No sightings reported. Chicago ARTc. No sightings reported.
