Reference your letter of lo August 1966 requesting informa-
tion on unidentified flying obrects and regarding your
observation in June 1966. Without essential information,
such as the date, an investigation as to the stimulus which
caused your observation is not feasable.  It would be ex-
tremely difficult for our analysts to establlsh a valid
p jo aw conclusion at this late date withcut the actual date and
other Iacking information.
Attached is a sumary of the Presque Isle State Park sight-
ing for your retention, which I trust will answer your.
qusstion on this particular sighting.

the investigation of the Presque Isle State Park sighting where -
picnickers saw a Uro with tripod legs land. I understand a Maj.
William.S. Hall of Youngstown, Ohio, Air Force Base investigated
and took plaster casts of the indentations on the beach attributed
to the tripod legs. Was the sand firmly packed by the weight of the
inches deep.
What could . made this indentation?
