The following report of a UFO is furnished in the format outlined in para-
graph 14, AFR 200-2:
a. Description of the Object:
First Observation - Round

-Second - Pulsing like a heart beat and growing bigger from time e to
time as it came toward them, then followed their truck, then disappeared.
> Third - Bright light went over them turning bright white.It was
traveling south toward Ovid, Michigan, and then returned bigger than ever and
SAATTOLITE followed them to Bannister, Michigan.

b. Description of Course of Object:
1) What first called attention of observer to object: It was 3 A.M.
and light moving back and forth in.sky.
) Angle or elevation and azimuth of object when first observed:
Northwest.
(3) Angle or elevation and azimuth of object upon disappearance: 20-
30°. S0.
(4) (4) Description of flight path and maneuvers of object: of object:
First Observation; Traveling in westerly direction.
Second Observation: Traveling in a westerly direction, at a dis-
tance of about 5oo yards and was about 4 to 5 feet off the ground. It started tance of about 500 yards and was about 4 to 5 feet off the ground. It started

When they ran to their truck, object stopped and returned to its starting point.

Third Observation: When the·truck was stopped again, a bright light went over

after reaching Bannister by rising higher and higher until it could no longer
be seen.

k. Position title of preparing officer: Chief Base Operations and Train-
ing Division. Comments: The possible cause of this sighting : is unknown. I
do not believe based on characteristics of the object that marsh gas is a factor
in this case. The movements of the object from one area to another and its
ultimate departure support such a theory. The object was also viewed
during night and conditions.
