I am not hoax or for any type of
publicity or recognition. Insofar as I know, this should
be considered as a reliable source of information. I have
geologist years. If you wish to check further, I was
in Army Inte from 1952 until My serial
number was RA14439404. My son U.S. Navy,
serial number 350 78 25, was with me at the time and made the
same observations.
We were on We were on our way to LaGrue Bayou for a turkey hunt.
and we were both very sober. Driving southward and looking
eastward there was a solid cloud cover over that portion
of the sky. I suppose the clouds were cir strato-
cumulus clouds in relatively thin, but mplete. blanket.
Strangely enough, it ooked as if there bright star
between the ground and cloud cover, almost as high as the
clouds. The cloud blanket was high, and atmosphere
was very Clear between ground and the clouds. We were amazed,
the cloud coverage ould have obscured the vision of any star
beyond the clouds. Later on, when noticed: it again at about
6:30 A.M. it was backed by a separate cirrus cloud.
The main body of cloud coverage had broken up by that time.
