determination of which is top/bottom o the object could not be made from the information
and/or prints and negative furnished.
The following comments in reference to the negative/prints and information furnished are
given in support of aforementioned negative analysis,
a. The one negative furnished is a copy and in all proabability, not processed
by Kodak Laboratories. Kodak uses only color intermegative film (Type Sa7o) for trans-
parancy reproductions. Further, the source letter indicates the original photograph was
shot with Ektachrome film whereas the reproduced negative furnished shows Kodacolor film.
b. The reproduced negative furnished does not show a frame marking around the
photographed area. It is extremely unlikely that a camera exposed negative will fail
to show a frame marking.

Dear Sir:
Inclosed please find a hagative of a UFo that I took a picture
of on Cctober 2l, l965. Also, my report as_to the siroumstances.
and Mr.& Mra On Ootober 21, l965,My wis my go1
Gaylord, Minnesote, ware returning from
a. hunting trip fron the Minnesota River Bottons, nuar New Ulm, Minnesota.
Two miles west, and two miles north of St. George, Minnesota, we
upotted a large bright orange objeot hanging in the sky . We were driving
about a quarter mile to our left. north. The objeot was hovering about two thousand feat in the sky and
time waa just 6:lo pm.
We watched this ob ject for all of five minutes while it was
hovaring. We got baok into the car and drove cloaer and onde mors got out to wateh it.
X I took my camera and shot a pleture of the strange objeet. While
we watched, the object moved fron its statlonary positton inco the
wind(the wind was from the north east) for several hundred faat, stopped
for a few seconds and with a tremendous burst of spaed, it shot-oven. our hends into the south eaat.
/ I'm not a judge or Bpaad in the air, but my guess as to the speed
of this objest from a dead stop to full speed would have to have been
in excess of five or six hundred miles per hour. An it passed over our
heads we could hear a high pitched whining sound, but no motor noise.
The light from the object continued to ahange and pulsate from
fron our sight into the evening sky. fron our sight into the avening sky. orange to white to a dull red glow as it passed over head. It disappeared
It was a clear evening, no clouds of any kind, only two stars
were out. One bright star in the south west, the evening star and one
very faint star showed to the right of the objeut. This does not ahow
on this negative, but it does show on my color slide.
