8. c orments of reporting officer:
a Action taken (agencies called, etc.) FAA and tower checked for
know aircraft or rader correlation. A C-13o landed at Crie2iss AFB known aircraft or rader correlation. A C-lo lended at Criesiss AFB
at O553 EDT. No other reported traffic. No radar returns noted.
The accuracy of this report is questionnable. The person making the
report has a record of irresponsible reporting, according to the Grifriss
Information Orfice. He reported viewing this ohject at Oz3o.on his news
program the same morning. He apparently made one call to Griffiss Base
Operations around Oóoo about this siwhting and then broadoast this as "news
without further evaluation. He was vague when asked who he first called at
GAFB and how he assured himself that this wes really an unidentified object.
He further stated that he saw a meteor :right after seeing the object, and
that the object vas definitely nat a meteor. His ability to distingdsh
this object from a meteor seems extremely debateable.
