The characteristies of your stghting indieate that you
probably observed an aircraft with a Grimes type light or similar
waming ligat. The duration is consistent with the evalvation,
and the flight characteriatics are similar to those of an airerart and the flight characteriatics are similar to those of an airerart

Reference the attached report of an unidentified flying object
from Mrs of Silver Springs,
Maryland. raryland Mra observed an object on the night of 22 Sep 65 erved an oojeet on the nigat or 22 Sep 65
and has requested an evaluation of her observation. Characteristies
of the sighting indicate a possible aireraft with a Grimes-type of the sighting indicate a possible aircraft with a Grimes-type
light or similar waring warning light as the most likely cause of the
observation. observation. duration is consistent with this evaluation and
the flight characteristies are similar to an aircraft in flight.
It is possible that this light was turned off and the aireraft
was no longer visible. The sighting is not consistent with the
meteors or satellites as Mrs has indicated. Since Silver
Springs is over an area of heavy traffie and no unidentified Springs is over an area of heavy trafrie and no unidentified
radar plots were reported to us from the radar locations in that
ares, specific identirication is not feasible.
