bird. The characteristics of a bird observation at night
are similar to those you have given. While reports of
this nature are rare, the Air Force does receive three
or four a year. The suddeness of the sighting, and the
fact that t the bird must be far enough away from the
observer so that it may be identified as such and yet
near enough that light will reflect from its wings and
body, make the circumstances sufficiently unusual that body, make the circo s sullfcfencly uds
