"FLYING SAUCERS" OVER CZECHOSLOVAKIA A" - (PRAGUE) Central Czech papers (Mlada Fronta,
Lidova Demokracie, Prace, Svobodne Slovo) reported o "flying saucers"
which appeared over the CSRS territory. On August 4, after 2100 hours ,a bank
clerk, I. noticed 4 shining saucers in Southern Czechoslovakie, near
Strakonice. The shining discs were observed over the horizon for 5 minutes, they
got disengaged from one another, and gradually disappeared in space. Each one of
the discs shone ew seconds.
Explanation of Che phenomenon, as given by V. Guth, the director of the
Ondrejow astronomic observatory, and member-correspondent of the Czech Academy
of Sciences: in the da August 12-14, the Earth crossed the constellation of
Perseus. Another explanation by the same scientist: the flight of the "Echo"
sputnik. He dces not believe in "flying saucers".
