Received call from Mr. 30 July 1965. I
took the information to preclude his having to make his 15th phone call
attempting to place this information in the proper channel. At 0300,
25 July 65, Mr. cited what he described as a satellite
traveling from east to west. At first he thought it was a shooting
star but he discounted this as the object continued to reflect light
instead of dissipating. It rose from 45o to 70° from the northeast
portion of the horizon towards the zenith. At this point he lost
track of the object. Compared to the other satellites which he has
observed this object appeared to be larger,and longer than wide.
Mr. spent one year in the antarctic as a official observer
for Me IGY.

object he would appreciate receiving any releasable information
concarning satellites launched from east to west. Mr.
