Dear Major Quintanilla:
I would like to call to your attention an interesting object I
observed flying fairly low in the sky (at perhaps l0c 0 feetwithin 1/4 to
I was traveling alone east on Plum Tree Road in the Village ot
Barrington Hills when this brilliant white light (reminded me of magnesium
burning in my chemistry class days) attracted my attention. It was moving
in a Northerly direction and passed over Plum Tree Road within l/4 mile in
front of my car. I turned off my car radio, dash lights, and opened the

lights) there was no light coming from these lights"--only the reflection
on the glass coming from the dimming exhaust. These"lights" were on each
side of the source of the dimming exhaust. Because of the position of the
lights, I had tl the feeling that the back of this object was curved. Then the
