Dear Sir;
It Was seen by syself and one other porson wiile sit ling in the
yerd. Ne first noticed it at approxinately 12:50 A.M. of the morning
of July 23, lo64. We watched it fo: minutes. At first
it was thought to bo a satellite. It hnd about the stne appearance
of sateliites we have seen before. Similar to a bright Star and occa-
sionnliy secmed to blink or fude out. U Unlike o.her s.tellites is
Seened to c.ange its course drastically on sevoral occasions. Many
tinas it seemed to slow down or sven stop. It seemed to be very un-
around in all directions,
It aoneared out of the west traveling in a norti-easteriy direction.
) It then stopped and changed direction at point B, (sue diagram), to
a direcxion tovards the earth as it loosing altitude. At point C.
it arain stopped and changed course to a norih-easterly dircction.
At roint I D. it once alnin stopped and changed direction to a almost
due eaat heading. The distance between us and the boject seemed to be
about that moticed in satellites.: It was a out 45-50 degrces above
the horizon some tines varying to some extent.
rather difricult tut I hope that
you can get a goneral idea from it.
