vy saucer reports. At 7:30 asm. young gy was running the cows out to pasture
“4on his parents! farm when he noticed a shiny silvery object with four prongs.
44 The UFO was sitting in a wheat field not more than 200 feet from him. It was
e "about the size of a kitchen table," and five feet high. As he watched, unbe-~
oq lieving, the object began to take off slowly, making a beeping sound. When it
j} reached telephone pole height, the UFO suddenly "zoomed up like a rocket" and
“disappeared. The boy then ran home in panic and told the story to his mother,
jwho tried to calm him. She then called the sherifr's office.
While waiting for the sheriff to arrive, Mrs. QjMeand a neighbor
, aR, decided to take a look in the wheat field. What they saw
‘was an almost perfect circle about three feet in diameter where the wheat had
‘;been evenly flattened. Outside the circle they found three "prong" marks,
<j though d said there were four. ilies father, who is the local
:postmaster, was notified of the incident, and about an hour later he saw for
{himself the strange marks in the otherwise undisturbed 40-acre wheat field. A
* #4 sheriff's deputy arrived later and saw the same marks, and still later a team pet
i of Air Force officers came to investigate and take pictures. It was obvious to fe
