Subj: Satellite sighting; report
le The USS MARYSVILLE (EPCzR $97) in position 15-34.5N, 10O-48.3u,
om course O20°T, speed 6.4 knots, at approximately 12% GHMI., sighted
a Satellite bearing 147°T at an altitude of 42° which when first sighted
appeared slightly lower than the star Antares amo moved in 4 nortnward
direction, and disappeared on a bearing of OF5°T. The entire observwat .on
taking atout five (5) minutes. The satellite arreared to te ina
polar oroit. Sighting made 7 February 13.
