Dear Sirs:
I would like to report ar I unidentified flying objeet observed by
myself and a friend on Septer 15, 1962; 11:20-11:30 M., from a
dock at the end of Steamboat Road in Greenvich, Connecticut.
of Brookside Park, Greenwich, and I were at that
time sitting in his car, overlooking Long Island Sound from the gener.
area of the Indian Harbor Yathh Club. Beginning at Il:Oe P. M. we had
observed the moon, stars and clouds sible from the dock overlooking
the bay.
At about 1l:20 )we both noticed a very brightly glowing object,
fairly well above the Eastern horizon. We noticed that the light came
from at least two sources, each close enough to the other to effect
a blending of the Iight rays. Almost as soon as this glow caught our
attention, the light suddenly was extinguished, and the object then

but more faintly with each minute, as the object continued ead South-
nore undulating than straight.
Could you please inform me whether you or any other ageney dealing
with UFo have received similar reports made Sept. 15, 1962, and if objects
matching or similar to the above description have e been reported at any
time? Whatever knowledgement and materials you could mail to me on the
subject would b ich appreciated. appreciated.

We wondered whether the Air Force or NASA was testing a new, secret
aircraft, and if publicity about it would cause embarrassment to those those
responsible for security tests.
It is the opinion both and myself that the object behaved
so much unlike conventional aircraft, that it is doubtful whether the
object was conceived anywhere this planet.
I would very much h like to he your opinion on the matter. If it
would be in your interests, perh ps you could help me do a researeh paner
on UFo for Columbia University.
Respectfully
