The following information concerning the report of an unidentified
object was reported by Technical Sergeant
3399th School Squadron, Keesler Technical Training Center,
Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. Reference paragraph 15, AFR 200-2,
14 Saptember 1959:
a Description of Object:
(1) Shape - Oval or oblong.
(2) Size - Length of an office desk.
(3) Phosphorescent or pale white.
(4) Number - One.
(5) Formation - N/A.
(6) Discernable features - Two rows of three lights at each
end and one light in between. Lights were very bright.
(7) None.
(8) Sound - None. Sound - None.
(9) Speed between 7,200 and 36,000 MPH.
b. Description of Course Object:
off pier near Keesler Air Force Base, the
observer's attention was attracted by a bright light near the horizon
in the vicinity of Ship Island, 10 miles due South.
(2) Object was firs erved approximately three degroes above
horizon and proceeded to forty-five degrees horizon in approximately
two seconds. Azimuth was two-hundred seventy degrees. No estimate on
elevation. I??
(3) Object moved on a westerly course rising from three degrees
above the horizon to forty-five degrees where it disappeared in a cloud
bank.
