The samoles or the material which you forwarded with your letter
have been derinitely identiried as charr made and utilized by the United
States. Charr is : material which is dropped by our aircraft for the pur-
pose or jamming radars by blotting out scope insignifi-
cant returns.

they where shorter, being about 24 inches long. Again they
were in a neat pile and in such a manner as described in
the other case. Enclosed you will find these slivers in
an envelop June, 1961.
I have hean unable to find any definative answer particularly
as to the usage of these slivers, and more particularly how
they became located they became located here in such a manns havs have read and
do have copies of an article describing the finding of the finding of these
type slivers elsewhere. elsewhere Griffis Air Force Base in Rome Force Base Rome received
some some in 1956. in 1956.
I would greatly aporeciate any information about these slivers
as to compositiol usage, and why they would be found in such
neat pile, afrequent times.
