Report on Unidentified Flying Object (U FO)

1. In accordance with AFR 200-2, paragraph 15, dated 14 Septei nber 1959,
the following Flying Object Report is submitted:
a. Description of the object:
(1) Shape - slightly elliptical.
(2) Size of a grapefruit.
(3) Color - Similar toa star but very bright.
(4) Number - 1
(5) Formation - N/A
(G6) Discernible features: Object was traveling on a steady course
and appeared to weave slightly.
(7) Tail or Trail: Non observed.
8) Unusual Features: Object seemed to stop and move in spurts,
b. Description of Course of Object:
1} When I first noticed the UFO at 1845 hours, 19 December I: 30
at Canchart Housing, Tyndall AFB, Florida, azimuth 315°, it seemed to
be stooping and moving in spurts. I obsepyed it for a while to make sure
it was not an aircraft. I called — Pilot)

(4) Description of flight path and maneuvers of object: The object
traveled from northwest to southeast and was very high. It appeared like
a bright star moving in spurts and zig zagging slizhtly. It seemed to be
brighter than any object in the sky.
(5) Manner in which object disappeared: Faded out of the south-
east at 1200 hours.
(6) Length of time object was visible: 15 minutes.

Additional remarks:
a. The UFO was also seen at 1830 hours, 17

b. At 1930 hours, 18 December 1960, I spotted the UFO, I called
MSC QR, and family, also my family. I phoned tha Base
Weather Station and they also noticed it. I called ot) =
Gi 2d he also noticedit. The UFO seen tonight was similar
to the above report. J noticed it for lo minutes.
¢. Special Visual Aid; I looked at the UFO with a telescope
(approximately 30 power) and it appeared as a very bright star with
a motion like the letter Z. It hada color similar to a diamond when
moved in the sunlight. It could also be compared with a Christmas
sparkler when waved back and forth.
d, Consolidated Reports: Judging from the information gathered,
the UFO's seen on the 16, 17 and 18 December could be considered as
one report with the exception of the time and dates.
