The following, extracted from Capt Picardat's Report dated 15 Sep 50,

2130 - Received telephone call on UFO from Maj Messenger at AF
Comd. Post. UFO discussed is reported in message from
Ramey AYS, Cite Nr. DCOI 4377. Col. Johnson at Ramey will
try to identify UFO and notify SAC Cad Post. As of 16 Sep,0600

; have tried contacted interested personnel since 2230 including
his local CAP, but to no avail.
"OVO sizhted at 2200 in direction of Chio River fr
Ironton, Ohio at about a location of 2 o’clock in the sky.
UFO looks like a bright star rotating in a clockwise direction
and then in a counterclockwise motion. Occasgionally will go
to right or left but will retura to original pattern. While
in a counterclockwise rotation the UFO will increase speed
tremendously and a gust of light could be seen behind it. UFO
wtill seen at time of call. In addition, a 1 RS » a
radio announcer at station WIRO in Ironton obsery the UFO
with -r «ie
Lecal checks with the following were made: 1. Patterson Field
2. AACS
3. RAPCON
4. WR Ballon Release
Wothing.
AACS reported receiving a call from Inctanapolis asking about
a similar UFO which was heard over a radiostation near Charleston,
Ww. Va. (Irenton is about 50 miles avay).
0600 - Received a call from A? Cod Post on 2 JFO, which is as follows:
J?PO sighted by a SAC A/s from near Memonis, Tann. Diect 190 to
130 miles south at 10002 16 Ses. Larze >Sriahnt ball, 59 to 60
*eet in dia. rose from eround to about 53,900 feet and disapoeared.
