OFFICER, HQ, NEW YORK ADS, MCGUIRE AFB, Nd. A CHECK OF AIR FORCE
BASES IN THE AREA OF THE SIGHTING INDICATED THAT NO WEATHER BALOONS
HAD BEEN RELEASED IN THE AREA AND TIME UNDER QUESTION. HOWEVER,
SINCE THE WINDS WERE FROM 2998 TO 310 DEGREES, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT A

BALOON FROM SOME OTHER BASE TO THE WEST OF THE SITELOCATION MAY
HAVE BEEN THE CAUSE.

In answer to your request for additional infor-

the night of August 19th, voast. 1 am sorry to say that I can not
answer these questions in as technical a manner as you wish. I
Sincerely hope that the answers | have given will be of some assist-

the area in which we were when this object was sighted. Lt outlines
the area of the beach, Lake, and major buildings. The flight path of
this object is also outlined on this paper.

May L also mentiion that we have heard reports
of two additional sightings of the same object? One sighting was
reported to us by an elderly woman. She described it as the same which
we had seen, claiming that this happened about two weeks prior to
our sighting. [ am sorry that I do not have this persons name at this
time but whll endeavor to find this information. This object was also
sighted again on Labor Day of tnis year by some of the persons who
witnessed tne first sighting. Both sightings were revorted to be at
the same time of nivht; around 11:15 P.M.

Please feel free to call on me at any time for
