proceeded to the residence of Mr. and Mrs at Temple, at Temele
Cklahoma.
Mr. stated that on 10 Cctober l958, an object appearing to be a
plastic balloon was caught in a small tree located at the rear of his rop-
erty. He further stated that the object had a note attached to the bottom
and was written in the Russian language. He didn't actually see tre object
in flight however the wind had been blowing from the Northeast so he assuned
that was the direction it came from.
When asked if the object was still in their produced a
folded, clear type, soft plastic,rectangular easuring approximately
7'x7'. They described as having the cogether by an
ordinary string in a parachute type of af s attached to
the string. Several holes in the plastic w ne investigators
and Mr. stated he assumed they were mage by thetree
branches. He (Mr. further stated that they ha thrown the tring
away and turned the note over to U.S. Army officials at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
The had no further information regarding the incident so the
investigators i requested that the plastic sheet be placed in their custody.
The agreed and signified that they had no desire to have the
object returned to them.

COMENTS OF THE PREPARING OFFICER:
A search of the imnediate area of discovery revealed no tnusual or cl.r-
ifying data. It a appears that at this incident would be the result of one r two
