SUBJECT: Unidentified Flying Objects

1. On 20 November 1958, a Mr. QR ,
Derby, Colorado, called Special Agent HAROLD G. HODGES, 14th District
OSI, Lowry AFB, Colorado, and advised that he had received some 33mm
slides which he had taken some time between 18 September and 20 October
1958. “QM advised that one of these pictures had been of a Be47
vapor trail. He stated that he took the picture at approximately 80° |
in a southwest direction from his home. When Sai projected the
slides, he noticed a red dot in the picture which he had not noticed
when he took the picture,

2. also advised that as he recalled he had taken this
picture in the evening and that there were no other aircraft in the |
air. |
3. On 29 November 1958, Special Agent JAMES C. SMACK received
said slide fr This slide is being inclosed and it is requested
by the contributor that the slide be returned to him after observation
by proper authorities.

you thought might show an unidentified flying object.
The red dot was determined by the Air Technical Intelligence
Center photo lab people to be a perforation of one or two layers
of emulsion. If the slide is held at an angle toa light
source, @ small rise with a pit at the center can then be seen.
