b. The object definitely appears to be the moon, and preceded /

midale of the lake at night.
c. Observer could not give the exact date of the sighting, except
that it was sometime in or near the second week in December, i.e., December 5
to the loth. An astronomical check (which the observer can confirm himself)
shows that there was a full, or almost full moon on the nights of December 6,

months after the incident took place.

Dear
We are in receipt of a piece of colored-motion picture approxi-
mately three-quarters of an inch in I length which you submitted to the
Air Force as a picture of an unidentified flying object. Reference is
made to a recent telephe with Mr. Hieatt of this Center
regarding this matter.
We feel that you will agree that with any investigation or study,
no analysis can be performed on what appears to be a mere white speck
against a dark background. Certain specific data are required such as
the exact time, place, date, I position, 8 azimuth, elevation, movement and
other factual information regarding the object and the circumstances
under which you phot raphed it.
would accomplish the attached
official official UFO questionna UFO questionnaire in as in as much puch detail a6 a8 possible, and possible, and return
it to this center to perait us to the incident.
For purposes examination, it is desirable that the complete
reel be examined, altbough it is realized that some of the frames often
do not contain the UFO in question. Therefore, if possible we would
appreciate the balance of filn. If this is not possible, a brief
statement on the questionnaire to assist us in determining the reason
the object appeared in only four as this represents only
one-fourth of a second in time, normally a period in which it would be
almost impossible raise the camera, find the object, center it and
take an expo rticularly agains night sky.
is appreciated.
