. Following is an extract from SDO Capt M McCance's report of 7 Jan 57 for your
information; :

SUBJECT

2330 - Received call from lr, Elmer Shambaigh of the Dayton Civil Defanse Hdat,
* (Or-6573) regarding the sighting of a U.F.0.B, by a Mr, SMRMM® of Dayton, Ohio
(Tal - O716). Mr. Shambauzh reported ‘that he had received a call from Mr, Qi.
stating that he had sighted an object west of Dayton and was moving in the direction
of ths moon, Action taken - call was put in to RAPCON - and they checked their Rade
3cope and the only object in. the vicinity was an aircraft about 30 miles wast of -*
Dayton proceeding on a southarnly course on Victor h7 ay. No other objscts on
Radar Scope within radius of 0 miles, " |
