II. RELIABILITY: SOURCE seemed to be an intelligent young woman. SOURCE had
rather vague in answering a few questions, but preparing officer believes that
SouRcE wouid be considered fairly reliable.
as large as a bright star, howeve object was red in color and round in shape.
The object was travelling north a great speed, and soon was out of sight. A
few minutes later, the object appeared again in the same area travelling from west
to east. It appeared to hover over a neighbor's house and SouRce stated that the
object looked much larger in size than it did previously. The size of the object
appeared comparable to that of a salad plate. The object then resumed speed and
faded out of view in the north.

II. RELIABILITY: SOURCE's description of sighting was excellent and in grent
detail. He was quite faniliar with the latest type jet aircraft, astronony, and
weather balloons. source was very familiar with vector problons, angular distances,
and bearing terns. Mr. Elder is at present a Civil Engineer working for a Dallas

II. RELIABILITY: S SOURCE seemed to be a very intelligent young woman. She had
before fading out of sight. On the second sighting, the object was again in a
south westerly-direetion, but was slightly more westerly than it had been before.
On the third and fourth sightings, the object appeared in the west and disappsared
in the north. The object appeared much closer to SOuRcE on the third sighting than
it did on any of the other sightings, SOURCE stated thet the objects appeared to
be guided and were not free falling objects.

Toxas stated no balloons had been released 20 Jun 55. Weather information on
21 Jun 55 at Otooz was clear and winds were holding out of the west up to forty-
thousand (ho,ooo) feet. Wind spoeds up to forty-thousand feet averaged twenty-five

II. SUMMARY: Unidentified flying objects were sighted over Dallas Texas, (FJJc 1547)
at 0400z 21 June 1955 2200 hours CST, 20 Jun 55). Al1 information contained in

II. RELIABTLITX: SoUrcE was above average in intelligence and seemed very serious
about the sighting. His description of the object was in great detail. SoURce was
quite congenial and answered all questions in a straight forward manner. He was
quite familiar with some of the latest type jet aircraft and weather balloons.
Preparing eves the SOURCE to be reliable.

returned in time to focus the the binoculars on the object before it faded in the
flat and red in color. Three lights appeared to be in a straight line, horizontal
to be a oproxi ately sixty to ninety seconds. A total of ten ninutes time elapsed
before the object was sighted for the second time. It appeared fron the west and

white in color. white in color. Phe object came out of the west at an angle of sixty degrees, veering
to the right and then disappeared in the northeast. Upon viewing the object thru
the binoculars, the SouRcE stated that there were three brilliant whitish-yellow whitish-yellow
lights izht line with a red liht in the lead.
